No Gatekeepers of my Heart
exhibition at Associazione Barriera, Turin
curated by Sergey Kantsedal and Katya Kabalina
(May-June 2024)

about:
From the tragedy of the geopolitical chronicle to the fragile and seductive of everyday life, Franko B’s work is always permeated by a profound feeling of empathy and suffering, representing a decisive stance in favour of the weakest in this world.
Barriera presents Franko B’s solo show NO GATE KEEPERS OF MY HEART.
The artist, internationally recognised for his diverse body of work including painting, sculpture, installations, and performances characterised by the extreme use of the body, explores themes such as love, death, eroticism, and pain. These topics are deeply intertwined with his personal life trajectory, which has been rooted in punk and queer contexts since the 1990s.
The exhibition focuses on the role of photography and image in his work, acting both as a documentation tool and as a testimony of time.
